Distracting mistakes in the production July 30, 2010 Mars Trader I am going to disagree with a lot of reviewers. Clearly money was spent on this series and I like a number of the cast from other works. But it's not put together well. The Editor did an amateur job and so the cuts and scenes are roughly assembled. And what's with the music? Out nowhere it comes, too loud, too long, and inappropriate for the scene or mood. I felt like a night club band had sneaked up behind my chair to give me a surprise. So, good acting and a good story idea are ruined by unqualified post production teams. For a comparison, take a look at a WWII series where everything in the production is done right: Danger UXB.
Wish me luck May 27, 2010 Edward J. Freeman Like most British films addressing this subject, the plot was good, the acting excellent and the suspense was sufficient to enthral the viewer.
Women Spies Durning WW11 May 21, 2010 C. Dillon (Disneyland, Calif.) I just loved this mini series that shows the women durning the war doing their part. Alot of women got caught and paid the price in the end. Some were sucessful but they did their part for the war. The series is very enlighting. You will surely enjoy watching it.

Unless you are fond of something that look like a stage presentation you will be disappointed. I would not recommend buying it.
Outstanding Series February 7, 2010 J. F. Nesmith (Claremont, CA United States) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I am a WWII buff and I miss the great movies that were made in the 40's and 50's that were about WWII. This series, although I had never heard of any of the actors, has a great authentic flavor to it.

br / The acting is superb, the episodes are fascinating, and it is too bad the series did not continue for three or four more years. The only series I have seen that is better is _Foyle's War_. I wish that series had gone on forever. Next to Diana Rigg, Honesuckle Weeks is the most talented and beautiful lady to ever star in a series.
