unhappy customer July 19, 2010 unhappy customer I bought this used, claim was it was in very good condition but it is not. It skips. Will never do that again!
Does Love Happen? July 5, 2010 Kristin Thomas Jennifer Aniston and Aaron Eckhart are great in this Romantic Comdey. Jennifer plays Eloise Chandler who owns a florist and is single. Eloise meets Dr. Burke Ryan (Eckhart)who has written a self help book. The Doctor is in town to do seminar to help people get on with their lives after a loss. Dr. Burke has never let go of death of his wife. Eloise and Dr. Burke don't get along at first then as time goes on they both fall for each other but dr. buke has a secret. do they get together or not?
Tearjerker June 20, 2010 Shatzi Crabtree (NC) I know this movie had mixed reviews, and I only watched it on Pay Per View because Aniston is in it. It didn't take me long to get into it, I figured from the start (SPOILER ALERT!) that they would get together, but the movie was a real tearjerker for me, with the man trying to deal with the death of his wife. If you like light romances you'll enjoy this.
disappointment June 7, 2010 Patricia Brown (Cincinnati, Ohio United States) The story was a good one. However, Jennifer A's character was incidental and had less depth than the intricacies of Aaron E's motivational speaker character. He had more and therefore could do more with developing a filled out screen personality. The ultimate connection of the two was a bit unconvincing.
Dull June 2, 2010 Jane Eyre (USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Love Happens seems like a meditation on grief that crams in a "romance" for no reason whatsoever. The story itself is very formulaic, and concerns a self help author trying to help people work through their grief who is (predictably), in denial about his own. Somehow he meets Jennifer Aniston, a cute florist who dates a cheating heart type of musician who dumps her, leaving them free to begin a highly improbable relationship.
br /The movie simply doesn't work well. The chemistry between Aniston and Eckhart is negligible, the story is cheesy and contrived, and really, there is nothing sexy, entertaining, or even fun about it. It's like watching a bad TV movie, more or less. Nothing special here, folks. It's too bad b/c both actors, in other films, have been much better and more charming. Aniston in particular seems like she's phoning it in, but Eckhart's character is much better fleshed out than hers - she is a plot function, not a person.
br /Love Happens, but not here!
