Great TV...Just Make Sure You Don't Sit a Foot Away July 27, 2010

This tv is wonderful. The image quality is phenomenal and looks great in my room. Assembling the base was a bit difficult, as the screws that screw the TV into the base were a little too big for the holes. Overall, it probably took me 20-30 minutes to get it together, but after that everything was pretty self explanatory.

br /I consider myself a gamer, and bought this HD tv to replace the other plasma I had bought. When playing a game on my old TV with my Xbox 360, there was noticable lag between controller movement and response time. But with this television, and the "Game Mode" feature turned on, I experience negligible lag, if any (I may be over analyzing the response time in games now that I am looking for it). HD games look gorgeous on this television.

br /The sound is OK. It's a lower/mid end HDTV, so I wasn't expecting amazing quality. You can hear the TV just fine, albeit perhaps needing to raise the volume just a little more than you initially want. This shouldn't really detract from the television, however.

br /The "buzzing" that many have experienced is definitely present, but it's not a death sentence. The other plasma I had made the same noise, but i admit it was a lot quieter. However, you really only hear the sound when close to the television. The sound tends to become white noise pretty quickly when further away (like 6 or more feet) to the point that I don't hear it until I concentrate on it. For those who are sensitive types in terms of sound, or you are going to be in a small room where you are close to the television, you probably won't want this TV. Also, if you aren't planning on playing games with this TV, I would probably look into some other ones. It's great for both gaming and watching HDTV, but if I could eliminate the initial buzzing, I would. Otherwise, I would go for it.

This television has a great picture! I have 2 of these tv's now and love them. We have a blu-ray hooked to both and the picture is stunning. And the price can't be beat!

I purchased this TV two weeks ago. I just got finished with a break-in dvd so it has 100+ hours on it now. The picture is great with HD content and with the Playstaion 3. Luckily I did not receive a 'buzzing' unit. There is a slight hum when you put your head right next to the screen but once you back away you cannot hear it. Shipping was through Pilot. I was very pleased with the delivery and the help unpacking. They called the day of the delivery to confirm the appointment and arrived at the schedule timed. Overall, I am extremely happy with the purchase. The price and quick shipping cannot be beat. No negatives as of now.

Great TV. Couldn't ask for anything more. My eyes were in love the first time I watched anything on it.

br /The only cons I can think of is that it gets really hot. Even hotter to the touch on a warmer day. I think a lot of plasmas are like this though.
br /And when building the set, all the screw holes were done really poorly. The threads don't take the screw in correctly so you will be stripping them even more. Takes some muscle to get them in and it still goes in crooked. I have looked past this because I don't have to deal with it which lets me enjoy my TV all the more.

Ordered TV on June 7 and it was delivered 5 days later cracked. The carrier CEVA did not do white glove delivery even though it was wriiten all over the box. Delivery man said he did not have time. Contacted Amazon for replacement and the order was placed promptly,but due to the first TV arriving cracked I asked if they could expedite delivery. Told No. TV arrived on the 17th and the delivery company (CEVA again) called to schedule delivery. We asked for a Saturday delivery since no one could take off from work again and was told no. Monday thru Friday only. Called Amazon for support was on hold for an hour and told sorry nothing they could do. I asked for help from a supervisor and was told they would call me back. Never called back. Called again on Friday for support and finally got to someone who only had to authorize the delivery and it was finally delivered Friday night.Long time Amazon customer, but if this is their new way of doing business I probably won't return.
