 Excellent Projector! July 30, 2010

Bought this for my husband for father's day. He loves it!! The picture and sound are amazing. We use it with an outdoor 120 inch screen, but we have also used it with a bed sheet. The picture is great either way. My husband has hooked our cable box to it and watched television on the 10 foot screen!! We use it alot and have no complaints at all!

I shopped several stores and heavily on-line before I purchased this projection unit.

br /I wanted a projector for outdoors on my covered deck. The problem was could I find one that was going to be bright enough for an outdoor application where a lot of late afternoon sun would be. I must say I've been impressed with this unit. Yes there are times where the picture becomes a little washed out but overall it has been great. The biggest problem is when direct light is reflected onto the screen -- then it becomes washed out. During the most daylight times the picture is clear and bright. At night or in lower light the picture is excellent.

br /When first using this I had a standard definition source and was using RCA cables to carry signal to the projector. When I moved to a HD satellite box and a 25-foot HDMI cable ( Cmple Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable, 25 feet ) the picture improved dramatically and was not as washed out during bright light.

br /The sound from the box itself is very limited. The volume does not raise very high and the quality is rather flat. I hooked up a sound bar ( iLive ITP100B Two Channel Bar Speaker System with Docking and Recharging Station for iPhone and iPod (Black) ) with RCA cables to the satellite box ad was very pleased.

br /I'm projecting about 25 feet away from the screen and have sized the image (using a zoom setting) to about an 74-inch screen. I'm projecting onto a piece of white tile board that I purchased at a home store. The quality, detail, color, and clarity is very impressive.

I bought this projector 6 months ago and i got completely satisfied with it.If you are a movie lover try connecting your Blue ray player to it then u will feel like ur in a theater.Clarity is awesome.

This is an affordable and fun way to show movies and other DVD content at a large size in your home or backyard. It's capable of wall-sized enlargement with very little distance from the screen and good brightness. For much less than the price of many digital projectors, you also get a built-in DVD player and internal speakers. Set-up couldn't be easier; we were watching a movie minutes after opening the box. I had some concerns about the picture quality, the resolution of this unit not being as high as some on the market, but it was completely satisfactory for backyard theater use. The speakers were loud enough to compete with typical outdoor noises for a small group, but I do wonder if they're robust enough for a large crowd. The unit's gloss finish may show fingerprints easily, but should also be easy to wipe clean. I love that everything you need to show DVDs is in one compact package. I'm anxious to see how it does with slideshows from a laptop.
