Product Description
This is a very substantial mount with Dual arms and heavy guage steel. The arms extend over 20" from the wall yet fold to less than 5". Even at full extension, this mount has very little sag or twist. It is rated for up to 165lbs and most displays 55" and smaller weigh under 100lbs. The unit has dual tilt adjustment knobs and it will tilt forward or back 15 degrees. The wall plate is 19" wide and has wide slots making it easy to mount into standard 16" studs even if they are not exactly 16" apart. Thus, the arms may be visible on the sides of 32" units. The universal design will fit any display with a hole pattern up to 26.3" wide and 18" tall. The wall plate is 1/8" thick and very stable and includes a large center hole for cable pass-though into the wall. This mount will swivel approximately 150 degrees depending on the size of your display. Dual TV locking screws are included to prevent accidental liftoff of the display. Installation instructions and hardware included.

Since all previous reviews help me decide to buy this mount, I felt I'd better pay if forward.

br /Took my dad and I ~1 hour to install. I'd highly recommend having that extra set of hands. I could have probably done it by myself but I would have had to disassemble the mount to make it lighter/easier to hold while installing. The kit comes with 2" lag bolts but we bought some 2 1/2" bolts with larger washers. Can't be too safe! DO NOT TRUST THE BUILT IN LEVEL!! We started by using that level since it's built in, but once we double checked with an actual level we found it to be extremely off!

br /Once the wall mount is mounted, the rest of the installation goes rather quickly. My TV is a 46" LED/LCD that only weighs 40lbs so this mount was more than enough support. I intentionally angled the TV down a few degrees just cause that's what I wanted. One cool feature is that the TV side of the mount does rotate (like a steering wheel, 5 degrees +/-)!! I read this in another person's review and didn't really understand until I installed it. My TV ended up being just slightly off level once mounted, so I rotated the TV about 1 degree and now it's perfect... really cool feature!!

br /I got a quote from a company to come and mount my TV and they said it'd be ~$500 ($300 for mount and $200 for labor)! Save your money and do it yourself... this is a great mount and fairly easy to install yourself.

We're very satisfied with this product and even bought two for both of our flat screens. I even talked my Dad into buying one we were so pleased. The price and the product itself cannot be compared to any other store-bought mounts. It was fairly easy to install, my husband and brother did that part, and it works great! Definitely recommended. I only rated it 4 stars b/c in my opinion nothing is perfect. :)

Great mount!

br /Bought it to install a 40" tv, but meanwhile had upgraded to a 60" Sony led lcd tv (don't ask, long story). The mount handles the bigger tv without any problems.

br /Was very easy to install (and I'm a complete newbie DIYer) contrary to what some of the reviews here say.

br /If you're in the US, good luck finding a drill bit that fits the 13mm lag bolts provided. You'd be better off getting new lag bolts from home depot of the same size or using a plain ol' wrench.

br /Bolts weren't labeled correctly per the instructions. Instructions said that part A should be lag bolts, but the actual plastic bag for lag bolts was labeled part B. Minor quibble.

This piece of equipment could arguably be used to mount a screen larger than 55" if fastened to wall studs. I have a 55" Sony Bravia mounted to the one I purchased and its solid construction and durability assure me that I will never have to worry about the TV falling off the wall. A fine piece of equipment and the Price is much better than those available at the store. I would recommend this brand and product to anyone looking to mount a flat screen!
